ABOUT

NEW HUMAN ART

MISSION

We offer stimulating environments where children feel valued as individuals and are encouraged to explore their creativity to become experts in their own life experience. By fostering self-expression and independent thinking, we help children build a strong sense of identity, confidence and self-esteem.

We wish to create opportunities where children explore their own potential through minimal artistic gestures aimed at deep self-discovery and expression. Discovering their power and grace in their movements helps the kids develop a new awareness and establish new connections to self, other and the environment.

CONCEPT

The children have a unique opportunity to experience art in a professional and bilingual setting outside their usual school environment. The intense week-long immersion challenges the children to express themselves in new ways, helping them develop self-confidence, team spirit, and personal artistic style.

ENVIRONEMENT

In the workshop, the children work with graphite and charcoal sticks to explore basic drawing techniques, focusing on lines, shapes, and contours. Through experimenting with different pressures, they develop a sensitivity to the expressive potential of their gestures. Large format paper (A2/A1) provides ample space for the children to engage physically with their drawings, allowing for immersive, full-body involvement in the creative process.

MEDIUMS
EXHIBITION

The children are celebrated with a group art exhibition where they present their works to fellow students, teachers, parents and guests. Honouring the children  helps fostering self-awareness and self-esteem. By presenting themselves to others, they build the foundation for more meaningful, respectful relationships with both their peers and their environment.

OBSERVATIONS

It’s amazing to see how the children grow, both artistically and personally in just one week. Every case is unique and merits its own story, but generally, there is a clear “before and after” and we are very pleased to see how the children become more social and participative after our workshops.

TEAM

"Our goal is to create transformative experiences where children are valued as individuals, break free from routines, and explore their creativity, unlocking their inner wisdom. Through artistic self-expression, we help young humans build confidence and connect deeply with themselves, their communities and the world around them."

Academic Leaders: Architect, Artist, Pedagogue, Director

"Architect and artist, I grew up between Tijuana, Mexico, and Los Angeles, California, and have spent many years in Paris and Berlin. These diverse experiences have shaped my understanding of how to connect cultures and foster relationships between people, their communities, and the environment. With my work, I create opportunities for bold, experiential moments that encourage individuals to break free from daily routines and rediscover themselves. My work of art serves as a reflection of the possibilities for a better society, showing what can happen when we open ourselves to new connections and experiences with self, others and the environment." - Adrian Luz

“With more than two decades of educational experience as a teacher at various schools and since 2014 as head of the Carl Kraemer Elementary School in Berlin Wedding, I am convinced of how important it is to create new forms of learning for children. In a world that defines people through superficial means (social media, physical characteristics, political agendas), it is essential to enable young students to develop a strong relationship with themselves. Strong children with good self-esteem have a better chance of being an effective and creative member of society.” - Kirsten Sümenicht
